I see it all the time.
In your heart of hearts, you think if I receive something, someone else is losing something.

But most of life isn’t that way.

Take for example your work life.
When you get a promotion and other people don’t, it may seem like they have lost out.
But it may be instead that they now have space for a different, more aligned job.
This was never their job.
It is your job.

Or how about love.
You give love.
It’s not as if you give love and now you don’t have love anymore.
No one loses.

And then there is money.
YES, MONEY!
I always think of the Ghandi example. When he tried to give away all of his money, people kept giving him more.
That’s a win-win.
No losers there.
He gave his money away and people gave him money.

Maybe going for the win means you become stronger so you can reach back and give a hand to the others.

Just because you win doesn’t mean someone else loses.

So go for the win.

I was talking with one of my wonderful clients today and she had such clarity, I wanted to pass it on.

I was talking about Byron Katie’s work regarding staying in your own business. You can’t change how other people think of you or how people act.  It’s useless because there is no way to reach inside their brain and alter what they are thinking.

And she agreed, adding that when you try to change other people you are giving your energy away.

That is such a great way to think of it.

When you are worried about something or when you wish people were different, it is sapping your precious energy.

To whom are you giving your energy away?

Is it worth it?

You can change how you think about something.

That is how I have made huge, enormous, earth-shaking changes.

In fact, to live a life beyond your dreams, I believe you must question your deeply held beliefs.

Internal work is amazing. That is the stuff from which epiphanies are made.

That said, you can sit around questioning your thoughts, connecting with the Universe, and creating incredible emotional shifts, but the actual transformation comes from the doing.

Create peace internally, then create transformation by taking inspired action from that place of peace.

Think then do.

Don’t forget the do.

What one tiny step will move you forward on your path today?
